The Pen Addict Shop Mega Update!

In case you missed it - which is not likely since I’ve discussed these products everywhere but on the blog - all of this year’s product collaborations arrived at nearly the same time. That means The Pen Addict Shop is loaded up with fun new goods!

The Pen Addict X Retro 51 “PEN” is my homage to sneaker culture and design, and it turned out wonderfully. This is a limited edition of 500, and I’m down to only 150 pens left. I wouldn’t wait too long on this one.

As part of this release, I have donated $1000 to the Virgil Abloh™ “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund, which you can see below. Thank you all for making this possible.

I also created my dream hat, The Pen Addict x Ebbets Field Flannels Ballcap. Working with Ebbets was a breeze, and I look forward to rocking this hat as often as possible.

It’s been a while since I’ve collaborated o a fountain pen, and I was excited to work with Hinze Pen Co. on The Pen Addict X Hinze Pen Company Taschenstift “Breakadawn”. The colors are amazing, and the pocket size is perfect. I eyedroppered mine with Pen Addict Fire On Fire Fountain Pen Ink, by Robert Oster, of course.

Finally, I have my own Sinclair R now available with The Pen Addict X Rickshaw Sinclair Model R with an awesomely Orange grid exterior and grey interior. This has been my main carry case since I first received the prototype, and will be for a long time to come.

All of these goods are available in the shop right now, and Pen Addict Members can receive 25% off any or all of them. How do I become a Member? Head over to the membership page to read all of the details and get signed up.

It’s been a busy year so far, and the shipping department (aka me!) is working their hardest to get all of these orders packed up and headed your way. Progress has been excellent so far, so thanks for your support, and for your patience!

Hello, from The Pen Addict

Nock Co. Sinclair

Once a year or so, I like to make a post to tell readers, both new and old, a little bit about what I do here, and elsewhere, on the internet.

First off: Hi! My name is Brad, and I created this blog, The Pen Addict, in November, 2007. Stationery is my passion, and I've been fortunate to turn it into my full-time job as of January 1st, 2016.

What does my job entail? So many things!

  • I write this blog, which is where I share my thoughts on pens, paper, pencils, ink, and anything remotely related to stationery - and evening some things that aren’t.
  • I have a wonderful staff of contributors - Jeff, Susan, and Sarah - who combine for well over a decade of writing for The Pen Addict.
  • I run a Membership program, which is the single best way you can support my work directly. I send out a newsletter every week, and create a community-focused podcast for members only.
  • Anyone can sign up to receive all Pen Addict blog posts via email.
  • My podcast partner Myke Hurley and I have recorded The Pen Addict Podcast almost every week since 2012. It’s more fun than anyone should be allowed to have talking about stationery.
  • I help make awesome pen cases and stationery at Nock Co. with my partner Jeff Bruckwicki.
  • I help make amazing machined pens and pencils at Spoke Design with my partner Brian Conti.
  • I sell advertising on this blog. If interested, you can find out more here. I love my advertisers, and you should support them.
  • I also have a Pen Addict Shop where I sell swag, and product collaborations.
  • I’m active on Twitter and Instagram.
  • I stream on Twitch.
  • I keep a big list of recommendations on the Top 5 Pens page.
  • I have amazing Pen Friends who make things too.
  • The best way to reach me is via the Contact Form.

Whew! After all of that, I’m pretty sure I missed something. I love my job, and I love spreading the stationery word. So thank you to all of the long-time Pen Addict followers for making this possible, and welcome to all of the new readers who are just beginning their own stationery journey!
